Thanks to the support of numerous businesses, individuals, and government agencies YOPW maintains low tuition costs which allows students from all over the Northern Virginia region can participate in our programs. YOPW is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and, therefore, all contributions are tax-deductible. Contributions can be made on-line by clicking the DONATE button or checks can be mailed to the office at P.O. Box 2127, Woodbridge, VA 22195.

Grants
YOPW is fortunate to receive multiple grants from organizations as well as state and local government. These grants help defray the costs of the organization and assist in helping low income students participate in our programs.
Fundraising
Each season YOPW holds several fundraising activities. Below is a list of activities for this season:
White House Ornament Sale
From September through December – Each season, YOPW staff and members sell White House Ornaments to help fund operating expenses for the organization. Ornaments are available beginning in September and are sold at rehearsals, concerts and recitals, and by contacting the office. Please support YOPW by purchasing your White House Ornaments each year.
Silent Auction
YOPW holds a Silent Auction in conjunction with our last concert of the season on the first Sunday in May. The auction features items from around the Northern Virginia region and includes foods, theater and concert tickets, CDs, sports memorabilia, and many other great items. Attendance at the auction is free and open to the public. Check out our Spotlight page for a listing of new items in this season's auction.
Concert CD sales
All season - Concert CDs can be ordered during the concert, at rehearsals, or by contacting Ronart Associates. Please contact ronart.assoc@cox.net to order your CDs.
eScript Online Mall
All year – When shopping on-line, please begin with our eScript Online Mall link! A portion of the sale price for all purchases will be donated to YOPW.
Glory Days
From September through April – Please send us your receipts for meals at any area Glory Days Restaurant. Glory Days will donate a portion of the total bill to YOPW. Receipts can be turned in at rehearsals, concerts or mailed to the office at P.O. Box 2127, Woodbridge, VA 22195
Sponsor-a-child
The Sponsor-a-Child program began in 2008 as a way to provide tuition assistance to aspiring young musicians who wished to participate in the Youth Orchestras of Prince William but were financially unable to do so. Since then, Prince William County has experienced a growing number of students who want to learn to play sting and wind instruments in our schools. The enrollment has also shown that the students who began in the elementary strings program are continuing into the middle school strings program. All of this is wonderful news for music in our schools; however, many of these young musicians are also on the free or reduced lunch program indicating that their families are struggling to succeed.
YOPW has felt the impact of this growth. We have many new young musicians who would like to play with us but are financially unable to participate. Our Sponsor-a-Child Program offers local individuals and businesses the opportunity to help these young musicians to pursue their dreams by providing tuition assistance. Over the past two seasons, due to the growth in demand, YOPW has also applied for and received a Community Impact Grant from the United Way of the National Capital Area which substantially increased our scholarship funds. With this grant and the donations of local businesses and individuals, we have been able to accept every student who wished to participate in our program no matter what their financial situation. YOPW continues to grow and is always seeking new sponsors and funding sources for the growing number of children who wish to be a part of our programs. Please consider sponsoring an aspiring young musician in the pursuit of a dream.
Sponsoring a young musician is easy. Simply make a donation to YOPW and note that you would like your donation to Sponsor-a-Child. Tuition for the season ranges from $175.00-$425.00.
